Heath View

Heath View Holidays

With regret, We are closing Heath View as a Holiday Home. This is due to rising costs, including energy costs, but also my own ill health.

We have throughly enjoyed sharing our little corner of Suffolk and are sad not to be able to provide the service for those with mobility needs and disabilities as well as families who have returned year after year.

With best wishes to all our guests

Lynne & Jasper

Possibly the only holiday home in Suffolk to offer these disability accessible facilities:

Level access throughout, large, flat garden, wet room

All accessible

Perfect for family holidays

  1. Wonderful house, totally equipped and stunning environment . Fantastic neighbourhood and very helpful landlord.
    Spectacular sightseeing.

  2. I agree wiht you ROSI.
There aren’t enough words to describe the activities that can be performed under the environment of this wonderful house. If you are looking for relaxing you can go for a walk to the forest, to the Felixtown
beaches or to playing golf. On the other side you can also go shopping to different suppermarkets and departament stores which are very near this lovely bungalow.
And finally, the most important for me and my family, the spacious rooms of the house, the views to the outside from all of its rooms and the good equipment. I definitely recommend this little and lovely paradise. I will never forget the moments that me and my family have spent this summer in Heath View.

  3. My family arrived from the states for my Grandmother’s funeral and we really felt at home in this wonderful house. We were greeted when we arrived and the house was clean and had fresh flowers, coffee, tea and shortbread. There was plenty of room for all of us to feel we were not on top of each other and we even had enough space to have all of our English family members come and have meals with us. The owners are very helpful and we would highly recommend that anyone who is going to be in the Ipswich area and need a place to stay choose to stay at this beautiful well equipped house.

  4. Dear Lynne, Jasper and family, we had the most amazing week at Heath View, it met our expectations and more. Heath View allowed our family to spend some quality time together. It is set in a picturesque area with nothing overlooking, its tranquil and peaceful yet only a short drive away from the conveniences we all need such as supermarkets and restaurants. The swimming pool and hot tub went down a treat and Kraig was able to swim with his family every day thanks to the hoist and disabled access. We were never short of things to do, in fact the week flew by far too quickly. We hope to return again for some much needed family time. Heath View is well equipped and perfect for families of all ages.

    • Thank you so much for these comments Zoe. It was a pleasure to have you all and we’re so pleased the house lived up to Kraig’s needs. We will be looking into getting a mobile hoist – I’ll let you know when we do.

  5. We stayed in this lovely bungalow 7th -14th August 2015, with three generations of our family, and had a fantastic time. The accommodation was well equipped and well stocked for all of our needs. Jasper and Lynne were very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

Whilst it was lovely to spend the warm days in the garden with the children playing in the sandpit, trampoline, tennis court and garden swings and the adult supervising and soaking up the sun, it was the swimming pool that got he most thumbs up. Having it on site and being able to use it daily, did wonders for the children’s confidence and three of them were able to doggie paddle by the end of the week!

Also, that the children could pick eggs daily from the hen house, was a real treat, especially as we all live in a city!

  6. We had a lovely family holiday with something for everyone. Lynne and Jasper are very welcoming and helpful….as is Eliza !
The pool is great and we enjoyed the garden and the animals. Golf on the doorstep went down well too.
There is plenty of disabled equipment if it is needed and as a wheelchair user I was able to get around easily.
The eggs in the morning were fabulous.
I would definitely recommend ‘Heath View’ as a holiday destination.

  7. If you are looking for a family friendly place to stay in Ipswich, Suffolk, Heath View is the place for you. We were fortunate enough to stay at Heath View for a week in January 2017. It was comfortable, cozy and had everything we could possibly need. There was eight of us which included my two grandchildren 3 and 18 months, my son who has autism and then 5 adults. There was plenty of room, loads of toys and activities for the children. There was also games, movies along with TV for the adults. Jasper and Lynn, who live next door, are the very best. You could not wish to meet nicer people and so very helpful. I live in Arizona with my family but I travel back to Ipswich regularly and I certainly plan to stay at Heath View again and again. Jasper and Lynn, thank you for everything. Based on a five star rating, Heath View should get six 🙂

  8. Lynne & Jasper – It’s been a little over a year since we were your guests but we were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the many amenities you offered in the house as well as on the grounds. My husband and I traveled to Ipswich for our nephew’s wedding with an assortment of family members. You very graciously accommodated our needs that began with 6 arrivals and swelled at the last minute to 10. The house was spacious and there was very little that you did not have on hand. I will admit that coming from Texas in the USA I was very surprised at your very friendly and informal manner. You made us feel like long time next door neighbors rather than the next group of drop-ins renters. Your gardens were beautiful, the livestock well maintained, and the fresh eggs and berries were very welcome in the morning. The location was wonderful as it was close to the beach and to stores. Thank you for providing the television, WIFI,books, games, and all the other extras. Anyone considering a stay should take these items into account as it is very handy to have extras. As an amateur photographer I was able to get some nice pictures of your grounds so that was also a plus! If we return to the area in the future and need accommodations for a large group we would definitely return.

  9. Heath View is such a family friendly place, and is situated in a quiet location near to woodland and ancient heathland where there are lovely walks. 3 generations stayed there at the beginning of July, including a 2 and a 3 year old and the amenities were first class. The children especially loved the pool, trampoline and pigs, hens and ducks, while we adults enjoyed the hot tub even in the hot weather. There is so much equipment provided from pushchairs and backpacks for toddlers, to various garden games, croquet, boules, tennis, and a selection of dvds, toys and books. The accommodation is spacious and the extensive gardens are safe and secure.
There is so much to see and do in the area. Felixstowe beach is only 6 miles away and there is Landspoint where you can watch boats coming in and out of Felixstowe docks. We even caught the foot ferry to Harwich to give our grandson his first boat ride.

Heath View is the most perfect place for families.

  10. Hi,
Just read reviews on Euans guide. 🙂 Unfortunately, I am looking for a last minute mothers day booking (2 or 3 nights starting 20th March). If your builders are finished early please let me know! We are 4 people and one dog. We are based near Bury St Edmunds. Friends are staying on the coast so I am looking for a mini break with a shorter drive to spend time with them.

Always interested in any last minute deals! So hard to find accessible pool etc and our son is a full time power chair user.
    Many thanks
