Reviews

We booked Heath View after reading all the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor – and we couldn’t agree with them all more now we have stayed! We were a group of 6 adults & 1 baby, the facilities were plentiful; the indoor swimming pool was so warm my 10 month old daughter was able to swim everyday, the hot tub was also so nice that we used that almost everyday too! We played tennis, croquet, boules – generally spent as much time outside as possible! My daughter was particularly fascinated by the pigs, chickens & ducks at the end of the garden too – in fact there was so much to do, we didn’t even get the chance to use the sand pit! Really handy having a washing machine & tumble dryer, all the utensils, pots, pans etc in the kitchen that you’d ever need, lovely big dining table, wifi & tv/freeview was great. Absolutely faultless. All in all, we would love to come back one day soon. Many thanks, Daniel August 2017

We have just arrived back from spending a glorious week in Suffolk at Heath View. The bungalow was perfect for my husbands needs, whilst keeping a homely feel. No steps, a walk in shower and the correct height bed. Our children (5&2) loved that they could go swimming every morning and also could explore the Heath and climb trees within in a two minute walk. It has been the perfect place to spend the week whilst we have caught up with family and explored the sights of Suffolk. Lynn and Jasper have provided a great holiday bungalow which is suitable for all ages and abilities. We will definitely be booking again. Kate July 2017

We had a lovely week here,, me my husband, daughter, 8yrs and son 12yrs who is paraplegic, therefore a wheelchair user. The cottage is so cozy and homely, very clean and decorated lovely. Lovely smelling bedding and towels. It has everything you need, and more if you need any extra equipment. It has the lovely are with the beach 10 mins drive away. such a quiet and peaceful area. The garden is just amazing, the kids loved the play area, trampoline, basketball, table tennis and especially the swimming pool fully equipped with pool toys. Another highlight was collecting the delicious eggs every morning, and throwing the apples for the pigs! DvDs at night and lots of toys, books and games we played. Lynne and Jasper the owners were so kind, on hand anytime for help or advice, and their family are lovely my daughter enjoyed playing with her new friend. Definitely recommend this holiday home for anyone, disabled requirements or not. Dawn August 2016

Grandparents, parents and three children under 4yrs had a really enjoyable week in this “holiday home”.
The weather was excellent and we therefore could make full use of the facilities on site – indoor small heated pool ( perfect for the children), hot tub (enjoyed by all), sandpit, trampoline, climbing frame and slide for little ones, tennis court and croquet for adults. The children loved helping to collect the eggs from the hens and ducks and feeding the pigs.
The bungalow is spacious and very well equipped. The heath opposite was an adventure playground for the little ones – they loved exploring the “wild woods”, picking blackberries, finding bugs and butterflies in the heather.
There was so much to do that we rarely left the immediate area, venturing once to the beach at Felixstowe ( 15-20 mins by car),and once to Jimmy’s Farm, lovely for children.
The Fox pub at Newbourne is very family friendly, serving good food and having a safe area for the children to play. The Maybush has wonderful sea food and lovely views over the river Deben.
Jasper and Lynne Goodwyn and their children, living next door, made us very welcome and were extremely helpful , but also respected our privacy.
This holiday home is excellent for families with children of any age….we shall certainly return.

I booked this house for my extended family to stay when visiting us. As well as being conveniently just up the road, the accessible facilities meant that we could go there with my son who is a wheelchair user. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and the kids loved going to see the pigs, chickens and ducks as well as being able to use the play equipment in their garden. The house is bright and airy, in a lovely, peaceful location in the middle of heathland, but just a short walk from the supermarket and bus route. We will definitely book again when the need arises.

The owners of Heath View live right next door so are on hand should there be any problems. The owners are a lovely couple with a beautiful family, they are extremely hospitable and helpful. My children were able to collect fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks for our breakfast and they also loved to visit their newly arrived piglets. The beds were lovely and comfy and welcoming which was perfect after our long haul flight! It’s a beautiful setting on a private road but only a short drive from everything you need.

My family arrived from the states for my Grandmother’s funeral and we really felt at home in this wonderful house. We were greeted when we arrived and the house was clean and had fresh flowers, coffee, tea and shortbread. There was plenty of room for all of us to feel we were not on top of each other and we even had enough space to have all of our English family members come and have meals with us. The owners are very helpful and we would highly recommend that anyone who is going to be in the Ipswich area and need a place to stay choose to stay at this beautiful well equipped house.
